Why should I advertise in OIG?
OIG helps fill empty rooms, increase RevPar, and raise occupancy by providing a targeted message to the Leisure & Interstate Traveler based on supply & demand. Generally our one space ad will generate one to three rooms per night on an annual basis depending on your rate offer and your ability to accept the coupons. Many of our advertisers redeem enough coupons in the first few months to pay for the entire year!

What will it cost me to advertise?
OIG has several programs to fit every budget. OIG is more economical and priced lower compared to most other coupon guides for value, quantity of guides printed and distribution services. Our Regional Marketing Representative will be glad to show you the difference and we will even show you our print bill.

What makes OIG unique?
At The Official Interstate Guide our goal is to simply provide a new way of presenting the information to the traveler that will make it easier, and more likely to be picked up and used. A bright new look excites the eye with a glossy cover and full color digest-sized guide. Large, perforated coupons printed with the heat-set printing process eliminates the old ink smearing and rub off that occurs with the lower quality newspaper type guides. Each guide will also feature a fold out map of the State displaying all interstate exits. Certainly this is a booklet that travelers will want to keep for future reference.

Where do they distribute the guides?
Distribution is a key to coupon redemption. Millions of guides are printed and distribution is done on a weekly basis. Locations include Welcome Centers, Rest Areas, Restaurants, Gas Stations, Attractions, Retail Stores and in East Tennessee we have Cracker Barrel distribution.

How often is the publication printed?
OIG is printed quarterly allowing for seasonal changes. You can offer multiple rate periods and allow for weekday and weekend rates.

What rate type should I offer?
Be specific and clear on your offer. By offering a rate or (rates) the traveler will know ahead of time what they are to pay. We recommend that you do not offer a percentage % off your rack rate as redemption rates will be higher when rates are offered.

Who does the ad copy and design?
OIG takes care of all the work. You simply provide your rates and amenities along with a picture and we design the ad. You are then provided a copy to approve before each guide is printed. If you don't have a picture available we can have one taken for you.
